Get to know one of our Engineering<\/a> consultants below:<\/p>\n Stephen, \u201cSteve\u201d if it\u2019s urgent, and \u201cStevie G\u201d if it\u2019s funny! Irish-born, English-bred Kiwi, I’m a bit of an all-rounder.<\/p>\n I go from playing rugby to painting minis, to taking hikes and binging on Netflix. For someone that\u2019s been in the country for 14 years, I haven\u2019t really explored it at all! That\u2019s the goal over the next few years.<\/p>\n Match-making 101. Find candidates looking for engineering<\/a> jobs, get to know their needs\/wants for the ideal engineering<\/a> role, and find the right company that is looking for someone within the engineering<\/a> sector.<\/p>\n I\u2019m working closely with Alex Smyth<\/a>, a long-time engineering recruiter with a serious competitive streak and Michael McCauley<\/a>, an even longer-term engineering<\/a> recruiter with a wealth of knowledge, a great sense of humour and a cute dog.<\/p>\n I help manage the Wellsford Rugby Club during their season, go hiking and walking a lot, gym every day, drink (far too quickly), play golf, paint minis, watch TV and read.<\/p>\n It’s safe to say I like to be busy unless I have no energy – then it\u2019s Netflix and the couch.<\/p>\n Relax and trust the process. We\u2019re professionals, some with decades of experience, we know how to work these deals and achieve the best mutually beneficial outcome for yourself and the client.<\/p>\n It\u2019s stressful, but that\u2019s why we exist \u2013 to take the weight off so you can relax and focus on keeping things moving, while we lay out the tracks in front.<\/p>\n Archway Recruitment<\/a> has a team of immense knowledge. Coming into the company from outside the industry, I can speak first-hand about the culture they keep, and how important it is to them. It shows in every level of the job, from the training to the Friday drinks. Whether you closed an amazing deal, or one fell over.<\/p>\n Aside from the usual astronaut or running my own Jurassic World, I actually wanted to be a teacher \u2013 physics and maths in particular.<\/p>\n It would either be my wit or my way with animals.
