Emma is Archway’s Talent Manager across our Corporate Services<\/a> division and started with us at the end of last year. Find out about Emma and what she does here at Archway:<\/p>\n I\u2019m Emma! Em, or EJ\u2026 but mostly just Emma. I was born and raised in the Hawke\u2019s Bay, then spent four years studying in Dunedin.\u00a0 I moved to Wellington in 2022 for my final year of study and fell in love with the city.\u00a0 I love being close enough to pop home on the weekend to see my cat Kevin, and it’s nice to run into my friends and family while I’m there.<\/p>\n I started here at Archway soon after I finished studying in December 2022. As a Talent Manager in the Corporate Services<\/a> field,\u00a0 I work with Principal Consultant Tracey Bevan<\/a> to assist in the recruitment process for Business Support<\/a>, HR<\/a> and Marketing & Communications<\/a>.<\/p>\n Now that I have my weekends and evenings back from studying, I\u2019m trying to figure that out myself!\u00a0 I\u2019ve recently become a first-time plant mum so keeping them alive is my main goal, but most of the time you can find me with my friends! That could be a walk along the waterfront, catching up for coffee, brunch or a cheeky G&T.<\/p>\n It varies a lot, but in the short time I\u2019ve been here\u2026 maybe 20 on average? Talk about hitting the ground running!<\/p>\n One piece of advice I would give to candidates is to really pay close attention to the question \u2013 what\u2019s really being asked \u2013 and tailor your answer accordingly.<\/p>\n I mostly deal with candidates but my best advice would be to move quick! The best candidates get snatched up quickly.<\/p>\n My dream was to be an actress! As someone who gets very emotionally invested in movies, I wanted to be involved in that storytelling process. I sometimes find behind-the-scenes content even more fascinating than the movie itself.<\/p>\n One of my thumbs is longer than the other, it’s weirdly flexible so I can bend it in funny ways.<\/p>\n Professional student!
